Non sono andato alle lezioni "pratiche" del bravo Covelli, ma penso che non ci siano grossi problemi nell'uso di Wireshark (aka Ethereal).

Ho trovato 2 lezioni online (ci sara' una terza?) sull'uso del programma qui:

E' un motore di ricerca; voi digitate la parola e avete la pronuncia corretta in pochi secondi.

Molto carino e ben fatto, con anche l'audio.

Quest'anno frequentero' meno corsi rispetto all' anno scorso e nel primo semestre l'attenzione sara' rivolta allo studio delle "Reti di calcolatori".

Le due persone che tengono il corso sono molto capaci (almeno come prima impressione) sia come preparazione che come empatia verso gli studenti.

Ho comprato il libro di "Tanenbaum - Reti di calcolatori" ed e' veramente ben fatto!

Anche la versione in italiano sembra ben tradotta!

Devo provare il programma NetSimK per simulazione di reti segnalato durante la seconda lezione (che e' scaricabile da qui:

WAN (Wide Area Networks)
Dalle reti telefoniche alle reti dati
[ PDF, 2.1 MB  ] )

AGGIORNAMENTO:

Non e' un programma nativo in linux... quindi come usarlo in ubuntu? Funzionera' con wine?

Da gnorri completo ho scaricato lo zip ed ho lanciato l'exe contenuto nello stesso con wine e ... sembra funzionare; in questo momento non so dire pero' se tutte le features del programma siano funzionanti al 100%...

Per il controllo del traffico di rete segnalo WireShark (conosciuto prima come Ethereal)
